Amazon Heartland - Iquitos to Manaus

Our adventure cruise to the Amazon River Basin takes in as much wildlife viewing as possible. We will travel deep down remote and little travelled tributaries in search of the area’s profuse wildlife, and to commune with the river’s many native tribes. We will visit the historic Amazon ports of Iquitos and Manaus, made famous by the rubber barons of the late 1800’s, and well known for their interesting architecture, as exemplified by the Italian inspired Manaus Opera House. While our actual itinerary is spontaneous and dependent on climatic conditions and water levels, our experienced Captain and Expedition Leader make sure each day is both interesting and full of adventure.
